We recommend you talk to your doctor about any medication changes. Both blood pressure and blood sugar levels are very sensitive to weight loss. Therefore, as you lose weight, while continuing to be on your usual doses of current medications, you may develop lightheadedness, dizziness, clammy hands, racing heart, etc. These may be indicators that your medications are decreasing your blood pressure or sugar too much. If you begin to feel this way, please talk to your referring provider or primary care provider about decreasing your medications.
We strongly recommend you inform your primary care provider upon signing up for this program, as they may have recommendations to prevent the above. Either way, remember, getting off medications is the goal here! Please note, NovoLiver being a wellness program, cannot and will not provide recommendations for any medication changes.
